The Mammon

Il Mammone

From Monday 7 November the comedy Il Mammone (The Big Mummy) will be available in exclusive on Sky Cinema Uno. The comedy tells the story of Mr. and Mrs. Bonelli, who are struggling with an adult son who is far too attached to his parents. In the part of the desperate parents we find Diego Abatantuono and Angela Finocchiaro, who try by every means to get their 35-year-old son Aldo, played by Andrea Pisani, out of the house. The Bonelli family have turned the ancient Japanese proverb "When you are a mother, you are a mother forever" into a mantra.

Aldo, the only son of Piero and Anna, despite his economic independence, a brilliant academic career as a university professor and countless work opportunities abroad, still lives happily at home with his mother and father. One day, however, her parents realise something they never thought they would: They cannot stand him any longer. A real cold war begins at home, in which the Bonelli couple attempts to emancipate Aldo. The boy, however, has unexpected resources and is not a guy who gives up easily.
